Invasion Day
Where will you be on Jan 26th?!
We are living and working on the sovereign and unneeded lands of the traditional Custodians of this content. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land!
January 26th is this content's first world war- our people massacred, trying to protect their families and lands. Genocide at the hands of the invaders and today, we are living with the aftermath of this invasion- highest incarceration rates, suicide rates, employment, housing, increased morbidity and mortality rates, low education outcomes. January 26th is not a day to be celebrated, a day of mourning we reflect and remember. A day we will pull strength from, collectively, to push forward and continue the work our people started.
